Shrimp from Sulawesi | New additions to the shrimp hobby
Shrimp from Sulawesi
New introduction in December 2007
First off, many thanks to all of those who helped bring these shrimp into the hobby. What a great addition. Below you will find photos of some of the species discovered.
These are magnificent invertebrates in many different colors that breed in freshwater! No salt required. Please view the "Quick Info" panel on the top right side of the page for some information as to keeping these species. It will take some time for the hobby to really know how these shrimp behave, breed, grow, etc.
As additional information is gathered and shared amongst the hobby, this page will be updated as such. Planet Inverts will also provide all of the information it gathers about these new creatures when they arrive shortly. For some interesting information on the lake system itself as well as its biodiversity including shrimp visit here. For information on the Central Sulawesi Lakes visit here.
For a limited time some of these are available at the Planet Inverts Store
